Biofuel uses Organic Material as an Energy Source
Biofuel can be made from leftover organic material from agriculture production, like straw and corn stalks, called biomass. One method of turning biomass into a useable fuel source involves heating these organic materials in a laboratory. After they have broken down into sugar, yeast is added. This causes a chemical reaction called fermentation and fuel is created. Biofuel is a clean burning fuel that makes good use of waste products. It is possible to plant crops specifically to become biofuel.
Plants are turned into a clean Fuel
Biofuel is a renewable energy source because it is possible to plant and grow more crops. Extracting fossil fuels from the ground would not be necessary if biofuel was readily available, for the public to purchase at gas stations.
